My Rush County ancestors include:


William and Eliza A. (Frakes) Doggett
Lived in Orange Township, Rush Co, IN in 1860. William is listed on census
as age 35, a farmer, born in Kentucky, living with Eliza A., age 30; Arthur
D., age 10; John, age 8; Salome, age 6; Ward, age 5; and Mariah, age 3.

My grandmother Luemma was born to this family in 1867 in Decatur County, so
maybe the family wasn't in Rush County long. Many of them are buried at the
little salt creek church or something like that. Mariah, known as "Rye" lived
in Downeyville before she married a Kerchival. Is Downeyville in Rush Co?
