Many Rush families also lived over the line in Fayette, so I would guess any surrounding county of Rush.

Kathy, I also have family that left Nicholas County, KY for Rush County, IN
in the early 1830's. (Peter WEAVER family)
Do you have any indication as to the reason for the trek from KY to IN in
that time period?
Also, I have found that when you are searching Rush County, you need to keep
in mind the surrounding counties. Many Rush County families spilled over
into Shelby County.
