I have to thank Chuck Hupper here for sending me the Santa Fee cemetery
readings.
For a long time I have not looked at the information that I have about this
area but as I remember in the 1840 census there are several families named
Harris in this settlement. In 1840 most of the family names were English but
by 1850 many Germans had bought farm land in this area and by 1870 most of
the people that were living there were Germans. I am only referring to the
Santa Claus area German Protestants.
