Hi there! I'm seeking information re John CONNETTs son, Isaac CONNETT, [not my line of CONNETTs] b 1823, who was m 1st in 1848, to Mary Ann RUSSELL, no known children. He m 2nd to Susanna HAMMON, with whom he had many children. He was in Honey Creek Twp. Crawford Co. IL. in 1880 census. I learned that he went to Crawford Co. IL. with some brothers. He d in/near Olney, Richland Co. IL. at age abt 94 yrs. Do you know which cemetery he's buried in? Why was he in Olney, did he live there or possibly visiting? If he did live there, are there any known relatives of his buried there? Also, I'm seeking identity of Eliza CONNETT, bur in Calhoun/Fairview Cem. [cem. has 2 names, apparently]. I wonder if she was a relative of Isaac, whose line we call the "NJ CONNETTs", or was she an unknown relative of my line of CONNETTs? Also, in Calhoun/Fairview Cem. was Susan CONNETT, d Dec 7, 1875, age about 81 years [on the stone]. Her dau. Emily, Emily's husband Alexander WILSON, and!
some other WILSONs, that I believe are related to Alexander, one most likely his father. Susan, was the 2nd wife of my 4g grandfather, Nicholas CONNETT, just found by a cousin of mine, Bruce SLATER, of Tully, NY. Nicholas, is as far back as our line can go right now. He was possibly a British soldier in the Rev War, who didn't go home. According to a grandson of his, "he was a soldier of note in England".
All data re Isaac CONNETT, was from James Isaac CONNETT.
ps - I met you in 1990 at a CONNETT Reunion in Oblong, IL.
I hope you know *ALL* about Isaac, and why he was in Olney, Richland Co. IL. and a possible connection to Eliza CONNETT. I really hope she was mine, and an unknown daughter or relative of Susan/Susanna and Nicholas CONNETT, but maybe it's too much to hope for..sigh..
Best regards,
Sue Reddell
