Subject: [INSTEUBE-L] DELLER family connections?
Date: Tue, 25 Aug 1998 10:09:54 -0400
In the "biographies" section of the Steuben Co Home page
<www.rootsweb.com/~insteuben/>
are two bios for I.D. DELLER and Frank B DELLER.
I.D. is identified as s/o Nicholas b 1818, "near Berne, Switzerland",
who came to with his father "to the New World in 1827"...
Frank B. is identified as s/o Benjamin b 1813, France and "was 14
years old when he came with his parents to NYC...was s/o Gotlieb and
Elizabeth DELLER..."
The migratory patterns given for Nicholas' and Benjamin's families are
very similar; Nicholas settled in Steuben Twp 1851 & Benjamin in
Scott Twp 1857.
Does anyone know if Nicholas & Benjamin were brothers? If they were,
does anyone know of other siblings to them? I have reasons to believe
that one of my ancestresses, Elizabeth (DELLER) FIFER b 1821, might
have been a sister to them. The FIFER family came to Steuben Co
c1860-62.
Any cousins out there?
Laurie
