Subject: [INSWITZE-L] Guardianship in Probate Court?
Date: Mon, 19 Apr 1999 09:22:41 -0500
Are any of you fellow list members familiar enough with Switzerland County
Court records to know if there were Guardianship hearings in the 1860's and
if so, what court records would they be found in?
William Marshall Burton's parents were killed. His mother, Mary Louise
Marshall drowned stepping off a wharf boat at Florence and his father,
William Burton [also Berton], was presumed killed during the great conflict
between the states. He was raised by his aunt and grandparents. Dormand and
Mrs. Marshall, were his parents. His Aunt was Dora Marshall Armstrong.
If anyone is doing look ups, I would sure appreciate a shout.
