I located the letter from William to "Dear Brother", which could be either Felix or Daniel but may more likely be Daniel in view of his comment about "leading the way", regarding his marriage. It is dated Feb 16, 1858 & addressed from "Osawattomie, K.T."

He says "I suppose you have heard of my marriage before this. I find the change to be very much for the better & now for the first time in my life I feel like I was settled down & had something to live for. I would recommend you to follow suit as you would never lead the way. I always was a poor hand at describing women or I would give you a description of your sister, but will say that she will be 18 on June 2nd, weight 120, light hair, blue eyes, 5 ft 2 inches hgh, healthy, industrious & good looking."
