Hi Jack: Possibly this will be of some help with your, Joseph M.
Bennett. I have a CD for the 1850 and 1860 census. These CD's
included only head of household in SELECTED counties in SELECTED
states.
The 1860 CD does not list any Wabash Co., Indiana at all. I did
however find a Joseph Bennett in Grant Co. which is the adjoining
county to the South of Wabash. He is shown on page 290 in Liberty
Township.
The 1850 CD does list Wabash Co., Indiana residences but of course
your Joseph is not listed because he would have only been about 9 or
10yrs. old. The only Bennett listed in Wabash Co., Ind. is one Aaron
Bennett on page 439 in Noble Township.
Hope this helps.
