I agree, Although i am very (green) new at genealogy i can offer
some census look ups and Do Oroville, Butte county,Calif or grave lookup
for Oroville.
I have been helped by several wonderful people and i would like to return
the favor if I can. Please remember I'm GREEN but i will do my best.

I am President of the Marion County Genealogical Society. I also do the
newsletter, maintain the website and help people
with research. We have about 120 members but few willing to work.
Probably the Henry County Society is having the same problem
most societies are having now, not enough people willing to get involved.
A few can not do everything. We are living
in a world that wants everything handed to them but few willing to do the
work. I believe the problem does not lie with the
societies but the human race.

I ask each of you, what are you doing in your county or state, to preserve
at the local level, the past for the future?
