Surname: Headley, Headly, Headeley
I have been trying to trace a Headley ancestor and his family listed in the
1880 Platte Twp, Clay County, Missouri census.
Headley, Luellin D.(L.D., Llewellyn, or Lewellyn) b. abt 1852 OH d. 11 Dec
1899.
Sarah J. (Spencer) Headley b. abt 1843 N.Y. d. 16 Feb 1915 Bartlesville
Oklahama.
A recipt for her burial from the McCallister funeral home states: "Late
Residence: Silver Lake" could this possibly be a nursing home? She was 77 years old
at the time of death. buried in Jesse Creek Cemetery.
Lucius/Lewis N. or M. (depending on the census) Headley b. 11 Nov 1870 Geneso
Twp, Tama County Iowa, Albert: d. 10 Mar 1872 Geneso Twp, Tama County Iowa,
Lewis: d. 1943? Missouri.
Mary A. (Headley) Burton b.abt 1873 Geneso Twp, Tama County, Iowa d. abt
1895,
Mary's husband: unknown first name, surname Burton, age unknown, b. Tenn.
Albert Burton (Mary's son) surname later changed to Headley b. 11 Dec. 1893
Indian Territory OK, d. Apr 1975.
We have found this family in other census's but were unable to locate this
family after the 1910 census. In the 1910 census Sarah is the head of household
and the rest of the household is: Lewis/Lucius, listed as son, and Albert,
listed as grandson. I am getting so close, but I'm still so far. I'm desperate to
break through this wall of silence!
