I am responding to the issue of sending a request to the Social Security for
a copy of the original paperwork. I had the social security number and name
of a person in my family, but it wasn't anywhere in any of the Social
Security listings (Ancestry, Rootsweb, Social Security death list, etc).
However, I sent for the original, using the name and number I had, and got a
copy of the original paperwork. Just because it isn't on any of the lists
doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
