Hi, I am new to the list and wondered if someone would please tell me when
the censuses were taken in Ireland in the late 1800's?
I am trying to find a Caroline Jelley (or spelling variations) who married a
John Driscoll or O'Driscoll and had their first child in the London area
circa 1904.
I know that John was born in Ireland, which county is unknown and family
stories has it that he came to England during the potato famine???
I cannot find a marriage for these two anywhere between 1900 and 1906 and
there is no Caroline Jelley on the 1901 British census, although there are
quite a few on the 1891 census, but non born Ireland of the right age to have
her first child circa 1904.
Any help will be much appreciated,
Many thanks
Ann
