Just to let you all know that my dear old Dad slipped peacefully away in the early hours of Thursday morning, so I'll catch up with everything in a week or two.

I may owe some people some replies on and off list. I'll be opening my mail several times a day as usual, but not necessarily be replying or helping out for a little while. Thank you to everyone who has written personally to me during his illness: I think I've got back to you all. These lists have been a great help to me over the past few weeks, which is why wild horses wouldn't drag me to unsubscribe!
