And Hartley William B 1771 Ireland Hartley Thomas 1805 in the 1841 Scotland census he is a Officer Inland Revenue.
I have no idea where in Ireland any of them came from,do know that they all found there way to Wigtownshire Scotland.James Hartley B 1765 Ireland Married Margaret Thomson in 1795 in Newton Stewart Wigton so we assume he came over from Ireland in 1793/4? with perhaps his Brother William James had a Farm in Mochrum in the 1830's till his death in the 1850'sSo I think his Irish family may have been farmers?Thanks John
