The Irish Emigration Research Project based in
Blennerville, near Tralee, Co. Kerry is the result of
six years of work by twelve FÁS trainees. They have
transcribed and indexed all the handwritten ships'
passenger lists from 1840-80 for the ports of Boston,
Baltimore, Philadelphia. They're continuing to work
on the New York and Philadelphia lists post 1850.
