Subject: FW: STANYARD surname

Mary TURLEY married John STANYARD in St Peters, Wolverhampton,
Staffordshire, on 21 June 1836. UK Census records for 1851 say she came
from Ireland. They lived in Bilston, Staffordshire, after their
marriage, and then moved to Tipton, Staffordshire, in the 1860s. I do
not know the names of her parents or siblings, or when and where she
arrived in mainland Britain. Any clues as to proceed further please?

It has been suggested to me that the TURLEY surname is a name peculiar
to Co. Down, and that I should concentrate my search on a place called
Dechoment .

Any help re this family would be greatly appreciated.

with best wishes

Penelope Carter
