Seeking any information in Massachusetts (Boston?) on Irish Catholic KIRKs from Connacht, Ireland (per tombstone). Family history suggests Co. Sligo, but nothing at Heritage Centre there. There were aunts/uncles/cousins there in mid 1800's - my cousin found some records but we no longer have access. My grandfather, Michael Stephen KIRK, went to work there abt 1880. My KIRKs arrived in Quebec before 1828 with the usual names: Michael, John, Edward, James, Thomas, Stephen, Mary, Margaret, Rose, Honorah/Hannah.
Also possible connections in Ontario.
I'm assuming they moved to where there were already relatives!
Thanks for any help,
KIRK/SCULLY (MULLEN), REID/TAHANY [Quebec]
