Hi: I am not researching Toomey, I am looking for John Cashen and Ann Egan who were
believed to have come from Tipperary to US in 1850's. I have them marring in Booton,
New Jersey, then in Illinois. I noticed the mention in your post of Cohoes, New York they
were suppose to have ran some sort of Soda Pop bottling company there. Do you know
anything about this area. I did find their on son Thomas there on a 1890 census.
I live out in Arizona never have been to the New York area . Just noticed the Tipperary
to Cohoes connection.
Thanks
Karen (Cashen)Bass

In looking in Ireland, Mark discovered a possible link to Limerick, based on an unusual family first name.
