Yes their flour is different.. When my cousin was here she tried to make
brown bread and it just wouldn't work out.. For the soda bread I use either bread
flour or regular self rising.. Works with both.. Been using our flour for
years and always buttemilk....
Another trick: soak your raisins for about 10 minutes and drain well, then
toss them in flour before adding to the mix.. Sometimes I soak them in orange
juice or a bit whiskey... Lovely...
