Subject: [Irish-American] Research McMAHON, Owen, son of Michael, to US abt 1846

Searching for info about my McMahon ancestors. Owen McMahon, b. 1834 in
County Armagh, Ireland, came with his parents Michael and Jane (Cunningham)
McMahon, landing in Philadelphia in 1846, according to family Bible. I don't know
what happened to Michael and Jane McMahon.

Owen was in Rockford, IL, Winnebago Co., by 1859, where he married Julia Ann
TURLEY, daughter of Michael and Anne (WATSON) TURLEY, originally of County
Roscommon, Ireland. Owen and Julia moved to Hamilton Co., Nebraska, to homestead
about 1871-72. Owen may have had a brother Patrick McMahon, also living in
the Winnebago Co., IL, area where he died in the 1920's.

I've never found any of them on passenger lists. I will share what I have.
