the obituaries are great. I too am a long way away from where my family was
from. But I found a kind soul that looked up obituaries for me. They had all
kinds of information in them. Where they were born who they married how many
children and other relatives that were at the furneral. all kinds of names and
dates and what they did for a living. Try looking on the state or county
genealogy web for volunteers that will do the look-ups for you. It is worth it.
