Boston News-Letter Boston, MA
18 March 1756

Deserted on the 9th Instant, at Night, at Palmer,
in the County of Hampshire, from Lieut. Thomas
Moncrieffe; John Casey, born in Ireland, about 5
feet 7 inches high, smooth faced and fair Complexioned,
a little round shouldered, talks with a broad Irish
accent. William Haley, born in Ireland, a little pitted
with small pox, about 5 feet 4 inches high, well
set and bow-Leg'd, dark colour'd Hair, and talks also
with the broad Irish accent. They carried off with them,
a fine Sorrel-coloured stallion, with a white Stripe in
his Forehead, the Property of Mr. Scott, Innholder
at Palmer.
