Subject: [IRISH IN ST. LOUIS] Researcher for MADDEN-GRADY 1850s
Date: Sat, 16 Nov 2002 17:37:54 EST
Wanted: a local researcher
Looking for info on the families of Jerome/ Jeremiah Madden (b. 1825) and
Catherine Grady ( b.1824) who married on 12 March 1854 in St. Louis. Some
info, none corroborated.
He was supposedly the son of Thomas F. Madden and Margaret Ronan/
Rowan/Ravan. Catherine Grady was the daughter of Patrick Grady and possibly
Ann ?
The marriage shows up in the civil records as found at the St. Louis Library
(by another researcher) but not at St. Patrick's Church as indicated.
They do not seem to be in the 1850 census anywhere in MO. Son Jerome was
baptized at St. Patrick's on 29 Dec 1854. In about 1856 they moved briefly to
Lacon, IL, (where son Thomas was born) and then by 1857 to Waseca Co.,
Minnesota.
Another researcher has supposedly found death, burial and probate for Thomas
F. Madden on 20 Oct 1853 but I have been unable to locate and verify. She is
no longer speaking to me!
Can anyone help with the name of a researcher? Thanks!
Kathy Lund
