Dear Evie,

If you are relying on the Soundex, you might want to drop the "H" (H620) and use some of the vowels such as A (A620) or E (E620). Or if you have access to the city
directories, find you family in the 1899, 1900 and 1901 directory. Then look up the street (I don't remember if you can do this in the 1900 directories-know I used
this method for 1910 in Detroit). If you can find a listing by street, see what neighbors lived near your ancestors with a name that is not too common but not one
that might be misspelled/misheard. Find one who was living at the same address for those years. Then look this neighbor up in the Soundex or census if you have a
subscription. If you still cannot find your ancestor, go to the end of the enumeration district where you found the neighbor and see if there is a supplement or if
the enumerator had gone back to pick up those he/she had missed. You will either see supplement written at the top of the page or you will see many street names
listed for just one page.

Good luck.
