Subject: Re immigration of a Thomas Conway to Scotland from County Clare
Date: Mon, 17 May 2004 06:24:23 -0500

Im looking for a Thomas Conway who is said to have immigrated to
Scotland probably in the 1880-1885 time frame. He would have been about
20 years old. He was from the townland of Gortifica, Crusheen
(Inchicronin) parish in County Clare. His father was a Michael Conway
and mother's name was Mary. He had a brother Patt and a sister Ann who
remained on the familyl land. His brother Cornelius came to US in 1885.
Probably his sister Margaret came to US earlier than that. He was
supposed to have joined the military but I dont think this was the case.
Probably he would have been a farmer or worked on the railroad.
Anything ring a bell out there?
