Hello All, I am trying to trace my Grandfather's Brother Daniel Martin and his wife
Margaret Boland and children. Daniel was born in Kelso in 1848 his parents having moved to Scotland from Co. Monaghan Ireland in 1842. Daniel married Margaret Boland in Kelso in Jan. 1871 and had 2 Children Bridget B:1871 & Daniel B:1873
Margaret Boland was B:1846 in Nenagh, Tipperary Ireland.
Daniel was a Tailor and in the 1881 Census was living with his brother John (my Grandfather) at Nigg, Kincardine, Aberdeenshire without his wife and children. Daniel was not with John in the 1891 Census.
I have done a search of the 1881 Census for Kelso and all the surrounding areas
but can find no trace of Margaret and the 2 children and I wonder if she had left her husband and moved to Ireland. If anyone has any knowledge of this family I would like to hear from you.
