Hi All
Many people including whole families where wiped
out with the cholera , and it did not matter who you where
Most of the English where living in disgust conditions ,
whole families cramped into one room
half starved no fresh water on proper sanitary conditions
In 1832 local graveyards where closed has there was no room
and mass graves where opened to place the dead in
My own family died with the cholera and apart from one child
my grx4 grandfather all his family died, with him living has a lodger
on the census and working down the mine's at the age of 13
Mostly to blame where the landlords and Gentry who only cared about
making has much money out of these people has possible
Just to add something to this , the mast grave that was used for the people
of Gornal and surrounding area's,to be buried in, the local council decided
to let
houses be built on the land much to the disgust of the locals
