Hi,
I have the results from the February poll that appeared on the list website.
The question was:

How accurate is the movie 'Gangs of New York' in its portrayal of the New
York City Irish?

Thirty-one respondents answered:

Very accurate 6%
Somewhat accurate 39%
Somewhat inaccurate 10%
Very inaccurate 10%
Don't know 35%

I've put a new poll on the list website. The poll refers to the recent
series we did here on the list about the 1863 Draft Riots. We'd like to know
your opinion on the riot itself and also on Irish involvement. Remember,
we're just asking for your opinion - there is no right or wrong answer. The
Comments section has also been enabled for this poll, so you are free to
leave your thoughts if you'd like. Please don't worry, it is completely
anonymous!

The Draft Riot poll will run until March 31. After that date, we will post
the results. We will *not* publish any of the comments unless you give us
express permission! I hope you will take the opportunity to take this poll
and let us know what your thoughts are. And of course, you are ALWAYS free
to post your thoughts to the list yourself.
