My apologies! I sent this off without stating who the message was from.
This is a forwarded message from :
I am new to the list and have just started searching for members of the
O'Hare. JOHN O'HARE immigrated from Northern Ireland in 1887. His brothers
EDWARD, LUKE, and OWEN, along with two sisters, ANNE and BRIDGET immigrated
around the same time. All the O'Hares noted below were the children of
FRANCIS O'HARE and MARY CATHERINE CRANEY (CRANNEY). Francis O'Hare was from
Derrycraw and Mary Craney from Donaghmore Parish, Townland of Corgary, County
Down. Francis and Mary were married July 13, 1851 in the Parish of
Donaghmore. My connection to this family is Mary Catherine Craney. Her
brother, LUKE CRANNEY, is my g-grandfather. He immigrated to New York
(Albany) in 1870. If there are any family remaining in New York please
contact me. My name is Regina Cranney,
Below are the O'Hare children that immigrated to NY and lived in Brooklyn in
1920:
JOHN O'HARE: (Widowed) Harness maker, childred were Joseph (age 26), Eugene
(age 21), Anne (age 24).
EDWARD O'HARE: (Widowed) Watchman, children were John (age 16), Edward (age
13) Helen (age 19)
LUKE O'HARE: (Married) Wife was Ellen, children were Walter (age 11), Luke
(age 10), James (age 8), Francis (age 6), Anne (age 3) and John (age 2
months).
OWEN O'HARE: Can not find him in the 1920 census. Family in Ireland says he
married in America and had seven children, four sons and three daughters. One
of his sons became a Catholic Priest and two daughters became Catholic Nuns.
ANNE and BRIDGET O'HARE: Neither sister married and spent their years living
with brother JOHN in Brooklyn.
