Are there any sites, other than the Olive Tree and The Ship's List, that
might concentrate on passenger lists for Irish immigrants during the era of
1852-1853? That
was before the opening of Castle Gardens (1855) as a major point-of-entry
and registration, as far as I know.

I believe that my Great-grandparents left from the Danesfort area near
Kilkenny City, Ireland, travelled to Liverpool and then to New York. The
family included John (about 46) and Mary (about 43) (Bulger/Bolger) Bryan
and their four children (Anty, Thomas, Patrick and Margaret (in an age
range of 10 down to 2-years). The family surname was changed to "O'Brien",
somewhere along their path from Danesfort to Liverpool to New York, where
they lived for a year, and then, a year later, on to Iowa (1854).

I am grasping at any straw that might exist as all my searching
to date has been fruitless. The family travelled as a group of six people.
There is an unconfirmed story that they may have travelled on a packet-ship
from Liverpool.
Thank You..... Pat (Florida)
