Kerry:
Sorry for taking so long getting back to you...
I was going through some of my wife's family papers
on her Flaherty families that lived in Woburn.
I came across the following newspaper article on
FLAHERTY-DURAN Wedding.
(sic) "A wedding ceremony took place last Sunday evening,
27 June 1934, in St. Charles Rectory when Miss Mary Duran,
daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Patrick Duran of 7 John St., Woburn
became the bride of Mr. Martin Flaherty of 55 Jefferson St.,
Woburn. Rev. Charles P. Heaney officiated at the ceremony
at 7. o'clock. Miss Elizabeth Duran, sister of the bride
was Maid-of-Honor, while a brother of the bride,
Mr. Hebert Duran, was best man."
The groom, Martin Flaherty, was my wife's, Mary Flaherty Sheerin,
uncle.. He and Mary's father, Thomas Flaherty, were brothers.
Their father was Martin Flaherty, born 1870, who came from
Inisheer, lived in Woburn and worked at the Leather Mill there.
If the above Duran Family are "yours" please let me know.
Take care and God Bless.
Jake Sheerin.
