I am just now starting to delve into the military. Ireland was under British
rule . . . I have been reading the following website, maybe this will help
you. I dont know much about this as I have just started going down this path
myself.

It's also possible that someone in Hacketstown would know someting of this or
possibley the heritage center in Carlow. Carlow also has a museum and library.
