Found an obit of my gg grandfather, 1907, and it said he had a schoolmate
from Ireland, who was living in Elgin, Illinois by the name of Daniel GAHAN.
My gg grandfather was from Co. Carlow. It's very possible my line came from
the RC Parish of Bagenalstown. I will be trying to trace Daniel in hopes of
finding more info on my line. Does anyone here have any connections to the
surname GAHAN?
