Well I found out that my 2 MAHERs were born in Ballyloughan, RC Parish of
Myshall. William died 1926 and lived on a farm in Ballyloughan for many
years. That was probably the MAHER family farm. Still don;t have birthdates
but I am hoping I can find at least one in the parish records, along with
brothers and sisters. I am getting closer to finding descendants in Ireland
of my ggg grandparents. John died in 1911. The earliest they could have been
born would be 1840s. John became a priest 1881 and William 1872. They were
probably born after the 1840s, based on those ordination dates? Their mother
was born either 1820 (if she is the one whose baptism record I have already
found) or if their mother was born after that, it would have been prior to
1835. Their grandmother died before 1835.

<< Just found out MAHER is in my family. my Thomas BYRNE's sister married a
MAHER. Or it's possible he had 2 sisters and they each married a man with
the
surname of MAHER. Anyway, there were 2 priests with the surname of MAHER in
Ireland. Rev William MAHER of Ballyloughan, Parish of Bagenalstown, Co
Carlow
is one. I already know that Ballyloughan factors into my line. The other
priest was Rev John MAHER of Cloneslee Co Laois. Thomas and his sister were
born in the early 1820s, so these men would have been born in the 1840s or
later. >>
