I am interested in the family of Catherine CUMMINS born c. 1810 in Rutland,
Co. Carlow. Catherine married William KEARNEY & had two children in Carlow
before migrating to Australia: Denis Joseph KEARNEY born 1834, & Julia
KEARNEY born 1836.

Catherine CUMMINS was the daughter of Michael CUMMINS, farmer, & Catherine
KENNEDY, of Carlow. I believe Michael & Catherine married in Rutland in the
Parish of Urglin.

I am eager to know if Cummins was a common name in the Urglin Parish, & if
anyone may have stumbled across any of these names.
