Are there O'SHANNON connections who would recognise the family line of
one Eugene O"SHANNON who went to the Colony of Victoria some time after
1844 and the late 1850s. He does not appear on any shipping lists,
(not surprising as most do not exist) and the only references are to
place of birth being Carlow, or County Carlow.

Family story has a Frederick Eugene - maybe as Eugene's father but it may
have been Eugene. My children are descended from this missing Irishman.
