I suspect Sean that you are located in the States so one of the best sources
for maps is to purchase Discovery Maps (Ireland OS maps). These 1:50000
scale topographic maps cover all of the island of Ireland (including Ulster
and Eire). They are of very high quality and are widely used. You can view a
clickable index map at
http://www.mapsworldwide.com/mwwlive/ireland_map_index.asp
The map numbers you want for Carlow are 61, 62 & 68. There is an ordering
facility on this site although you will be billed in Pounds Sterling.
