Mal,

Did any of your Dignans emmigrate to the US around Chicago?

I have Dignan relatives somehow related to my ggrandmother, Sarah Hickey
(John Hickey and Catherine Kehoe were her parents). Sarah and her family lived in
Kilbride, Clonegal parish in Carlow.

I am not sure whether the interfamily marriage occurred in Ireland or in
Chicago. My ggrandmother arrived in Chicago approximately 1877.

I have a lot of info on these Dignans such as obits from the Chicago Tribune,
burial info, and have even developed a mini family tree for them. I just
have not been able to find the "magic" person who connects the families.
