I believe there are references to Oldtown in the 1901 and 1911 census returns from Idrone East . I also believe there are a few references to Oldtown in the Roman Catholic sacramental records for Dunleckney Parish, which include much of the Idrone East barony. Some of these records can be viewed on Michael Brennan's Carlow website, however, in my experience in working with the Dunleckney registers, I don't recall the name Eaton. That doesn't mean it's not there. The sacramental records commence in 1820.
