Clonegal is a combination of the ancient parishes of Barragh and Moyacomb.
There is a church, St. Brigid's, in Clonegal and a chapel of ease (easier for
the priest to travel than for the congregation to go a longer distance) in
Kildavin.
If someone out there has the book, "A Christian Calling." they may be able
to work with your information and do a lookup. Also, some selected records
are on the Carlow webpage. Also, look for Art Kavanaugh's book, In The Shadow
of Mount Leinster, as it has some Kavanaugh information. There are plenty of
Kavanaughs in the Wexford/Carlow area.
Sorry I can't do the lookup as I am packing for a trip.
