I have minimal information, but am putting it here, nonetheless. My
great-grandmother Catherine FOLEY RYAN (b. 1848) may have been from County Carlow.
Her father was Michael FOLEY. Catherine married Patrick RYAN from Tipperary.
They immigrated to the US about 1875 and are in the Chicago Illinois census of
1880. I know from my mother that there was a Carlow connection because her
family dogs were named Carlow. Also, my mother said there were NOLAN cousins in
her family.
