Subject: Blacklion & Maguires

My Maguires left Blacklion [N/W Cavan] in the 1840's-1860's. Over those
years,
Hugh and Mary (Curry) Maguire came to America. It seems that the Hugh
[my g-g-grandfather] went back and forth several times to bring his
wife and 11 children to America. The youngest of the 11 children was
also named Hugh Maguire. He was born in Blacklion in 1862. His baptism
records shows:

Baptism: Parish Killinagh
Baptism Date: July 21, 1860
Father's Name: Hugh Maguire
Mother's Name: Mary McCorry
Address: townland listed as Mullaghboy.

Hugh's visited Ireland once or twice. I have a postcard from the 1950's.
In it, they
say they visited cousins in Blacklion.

I'm interested in any history of Blacklion and or Maguires in Blacklion.
