Hello,
Just joined this list so don't know what the Spinning Wheel list is about.
Could someone tell me please. I am hoping to find out about my ggrandmother,
Mary Jane Pratt. Her obit says she was born in 1834, came to New York at age
11, married in Perth, Ontario in 1861 to John Morris. In 1884 they moved to
Huron Co. MI and lived there until 1902 when they moved again, to Alberta,
Canada. She died in Onaway, MI in Oct, 1908. Her father was William Pratt,
and her mother was Mary Anderson. Marriage record says she was born in Co.
Cavan, and a news article written by her son says she was from Londonderry.
(Maybe that is where she sailed from.) I have no idea of the parish or
townland, and this is what I need help with. Hope someone will have some
ideas for me.
