It is stated in the obit of my GGGrandfather, JOHN DILLON b. 1823-26 in
LISBELLAW, CO FERMANAGH and brought up in CO CAVAN : "His family on both sides
[DILLON & MURPHY] were prominently involved in the 1798 revolution under
Emmet". Does anyone have an idea of how I can use this info to further my
research?? I am standing at the proverbial brick wall at the moment. I have studied
the Revolution to the best of my ability and can find no mention of DILLON .
Any suggestions?
