Looking for birth and marriage information for this couple. According to a
paragraph in a book of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick in Philadelphia,
Daniel Hallahan came from Co. Cork and Mary O'Mara came from Co. Limerick.
He was born around 1810 and she around 1825. Their first child was born in
1847, probably East Bradford, PA. Some of their children were baptized in
St. Joseph's, Downingtown and some in St. Agnes, West Chester. On the
baptismal records are Daniel, Ellen amd Mary MARA as sponsors so there must
have been Maras in the area.

This Hallahan-O'Mara family wound up in Philadelphia in the shoe business.
John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School was named for one of their sons.

I am looking for any information in Ireland on both Daniel and Mary as well
as information on the Maras in Pa. Any scrap of info would be greatly
appreciated.

Patty
