Hi!

I am researching the Manning family of County Cork, Ireland

As way of introduction, please let me tell you what I know.

Michael Manning was born 1801/02 in County Cork, Ireland. He and his wife,
Elizabeth were married in Ireland between 1833 - 1835. The children born
to them before their immigration in 1844 were: William (b. August 12,
1835), Joanna (Hannah) Manning (b. bet. 1840 - 1841) and Thomas (b. 1844).

This is a piece from Goodspeeds History of Eastern Arkansas:

William Manning was born near the city of Cork, Ireland, on August 12,
1835. In 1844 his father (Michael Manning) and his mother (Elizabeth)
emigrated to the United States, and located in Fishkill, Dutchess County,
New York, the subject of this sketch, with the other children following in
1845.

We know that Michael and Elizabeth died in Channahon, Will County,
Illinois, USA. We've been unable to find William's naturalization papers
at this time ... the search goes on ... :)

Thank you!
