I am told that the Heritage Centre does have some records but that the
service they provide is ''more like heraldry'', my source was quite
disparaging about it.
For RC records there is an office by the Adoration Chapel at the side of
St. Colman's Cathedral, Cobh.
You can get the train to Cork City if you want to visit the Registry Office
in Liberty St., the phone number is; 00 353 21 275126.
On the edge of the city (get the train then the bus) is the County Library
(go to the County Hall and they will point you in the right direction),
this I am told, is your best bet. The number is; 546499
