Ancestors of Mary Ann Herlihy


Generation No. 1

1. Mary Ann Herlihy, born November 11, 1868 in Juneau County, Linden,
Wisconsin; died August 24, 1940 in Puyallup, Washington. She was the
daughter of 2. Dennis Herlihy and 3. Mary Riley. She married (1) Bert
Heckendorn June 05, 1890 in Richland Center. Wisconsin. He was born
February 11, 1869 in Richland County, Richland Center, Wisconsin, and
died September 17, 1946 in Pierce County Hospital, Tacoma, Washington.
He was the son of Benjamin Eugene Heckendorn and Louisa Robinson.

Notes for Mary Ann Herlihy:
Her father and mother were both born in Ireland.

Notes for Bert Heckendorn:
Bert was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin. After he married he farmed
in Richland County.
Bert was found on the kitchen floor by a neighbor and spent 6 days in
the hospital before he died. Bert Heckendorn was born in Wisconsin and
came to the State of Washington home steading in Winthrop,Washington
leaving there to take residence in Puyallup Washington . He worked at
Washington Eggs and Poultry Association of Tacoma. He lived in Puyallup
until his death at 348 5th St. S.E. in Puyallup, Washington.
Bert's Funeral held at the Hill Chapel . The minister was Rev. Stanley
Logan of Tacoma Methodist Church. The soloist Walter Watkin sang The Old
Rugged Cross and In the Garden.
The Organist was Mrs. E.N. Hill. Pall bears were Homer Hartsell, Archie
Pease, Harry Collier, Ed Conners , Bob Welcher and Mr. Frarie. This
information was gathered from personal notes of Emma Heckendorn Pease
and was compiled for this record by her son Donald D. Pease.

George E. Heckendorn.
