Hi listers,

I run a small genealogy website and one of our visitors has
requested some information on their line. While my ancestors are from
County Kerry I have no expertise in Cork. He has asked for help and I
have said I would try to offer some. There is not much information but
here is what he has:

Michael Wallace b. 1847 in County Cork (poss. could be County Clare) m.
Sarah Hamilton in the states. Michael was discharged from enlistment in
the Civil War on 13 June 1865 at the age of 18. Apparently came to North
America at an early age with poss. a brother John.

I know this is very slim info at this point but it may ring a bell with
somebody. I would ask if anyone could do an 1851 evaluation look-up but
I am sure Wallace is a very popular name in Cork as it is in Scotland as
well.

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Michael Wilson
