Dear Ed,
The only Binan/Bynan/Binane entries in the Ireland wide Tax assessmen=
t (Griffith's) Index were in Killiney Civil Parish on the Dingle Peninsul=
a nearby to Camp and in Killarney Civil parish both in County Kerry. Non=
e were shown for Binan anywhere.
The Town of Killarney had a Patrick Bynan living/leasing on Green La=
ne. A Catherine, Daniel and Thomas O'Connor were shown on High Street. =
Several other O'Connor entries in the Town of Killarney...Cornelius, Davi=
d, Ellen & Jeremiah. The records in the RC parish of Killarney begin Aug=
1792.
The only entry for O'Connor in Killiney Civil Parish was Jeremiah in =
Carrigadav Townland. The records for RC parish of Castlegregory begin in=
Dec 1828.
Have fun......Let me know how you fare in your quest!

ggrandfather Denis O'Connor. The response was almost immediate and it got=
me to thinking about my other O'Connor line. My ggrandfather must have b=
een thinking of the future confusion he would cause when he married my gg=
randmother Catherine who was also an O'Connor by birth. Unfortunately, I =
know little of my ggrandmother's side of the family. I know that she was =
born on or about 1871in County Cork and that she likely spent some time i=
n NY state before moving to Wilbraham, MA. I know that she had a brother =
Martin A. O'Connor who was born on or about 1873. From my ggrandmother's =
death certificate I have been able to determine that her father was Marti=
n O'Connor and her mother was Mary Bynan. I'd like to find out more speci=
fically where in County Cork Catherine came from and I'd also like to try=
and find any other siblings or other lines of her family if possible.
